and thought, "Wow, that pirate costume the middle person is wearing is pretty cool." There is no peg leg, no parrot, but the oil-skin jacket, with the white, open collar, blouse, the headband, and the pants, just gave off the aura of "pirate" without even needing a pirates hat or parrot. The patch is not necessary as I did not see it at my initial reaction, but it could add more to the pirate aura or just clarify for those who may be confused. If I could get together these items I think I'd have a pretty awesome costume, not necessarily for this year, but eventually. I could definately see myself saying "Avast!", "Arrr!", and "Walk the plank!".

do you think that it would still work if the pirate was wearing a bright green vest with gold buttons? it think that you could pull it off.
